knitting and Other Things

First, I finished a sock yesterday. I was hoping to finish the pair and be able to give them to the recipient before today's Baltimore Ravens  game. She is a big fan, and the playoff game starts in about 2 hours. Not gonna happen. I missed the big birthday date too, so with any luck, the Ravens will win today and she can wear them for the next big game.

I love this pattern. Here's a close-up..

Still can't make it out? GO HERE to see a pair I knit a few years back. The pattern is more defined on that pair. Are you a knitter, and want the pattern? It's Tidal Wave by Deby Lake, and can be found HERE

On to other things. My amaryllis decided to grow outside the box this time, and is looking much healthier. As posted previously, it started to grow inside the box, and actually bloomed a very weak flower. I trimmed that bit off and planted the stubborn thing

Stay tuned for the blossom in a few days.

Outside, it's freezing. The pond has ice and I haven't seen a frog in a while. Although one 70 degree day did bring out a frog in December!

Bad picture, but trust me...he's there on the rock and it was late December.

The warm weather from a few weeks ago also brought out the Snowdrops early. I have pictures of these blooms on from previous years, taken in late February. Today they're out there blooming in the sun in frigid conditions! Stay warm, readers. See you tomorrow.

That sock pattern is pretty. I'm glad to see your amaryllis is coming back and going to bloom again. I can see your frog there. :-) It is pretty cold here right now too with snow still on the ground.

Tidal Wave is one of my favorite patterns to knit.

I'll be sockin' along while I watch the Packers.

Love the sock! I've knitted two pairs of socks in that pattern. It's great!!
I knew the Ravens would beat the Texans. I was shocked that the Saints lost.
