If you follow this blog, you know that I usually get an amaryllis lily around this time of year, and post pictures of it in bloom. Here's last year's beauty:
This year, I bought one around mid-December, as I always do. I opened up the box yesterday, to start the thing in some soil. I found this:
This impatient plant decided to start blooming in the dark box, housed in my dark basement! That's chutzpah! I planted it anyway, and we'll see how it does.

Ha! I guess it got tired of waiting and decided to brighten the corner where it was. :D I hope it will continue to grow for you.

Oh my ... It looks so cramped in that box. Good luck. Hope it will like being out in the light.
So far I haven't killed it, but it's so pale and weak looking. Time will tell, I guess..
