Hi. Bella the pug here. I've taken over the blog this morning to answer questions about the world of pug. This is of course the best world of all. It's full of food, mischief, and lots of petting. We pugs love our people, and don't usually leave their side. The only problem this presents, is our people occasionally trip over us while going about their busy day.
So let's get to today's question...
Do pugs shed?
Why, yes we do. This is what Mom took off me after a long once-over with that pricey little blue object called the "Furminator". Mom says its the best thing since sliced bread. (Personally, I love sliced bread, and I think that the Furminator comes in second.)
We pugs have two big sheds. One in the Fall, and one in the Spring. We shed all the time, but we do what the breeders and handlers call "blow coat" in the Spring and Fall. Basically, we shed enough to make another pug at this time. I'm pretty sure that I am still having my Spring shed, by the looks of it. There was another ton of fur all over Mom's clothes after this session.
But look at the results, people!!
Am I not the cutest pug you've ever seen? (Ok, not so modest. But cute.) I'll hand the blog back to Mom now. See you again some time to answer your pug-related questions.

You look beautiful after the "furminator!"
Hope you have a wonderful weekend!
Bella is indeed quite cute! I didn't know pugs shed either. We have a toy poodle that doesn't shed, but he does have to go to a groomers for a haircut every six weeks or so.
Such a good writer you are! LOL
Glad Mom got your all beautified for your close up.
Yes Bella you are cute! :)
I had no idea pugs shed.
I had no idea you could get THAT much fur off of my pug. Where do they hide it all??? lol
I used that Furminator on my cats once.......and I decided they weren't made with Himalayans in mind because there is *literally* no end to the amount of fur you can pull off them. I think you could just keep going until they look like they had been shaved?? lol It was scary.
You are the cutest pug ever and I didn't know you shed
